What counts
A reported post, a premiere, a Q&A, a review, or a feature on a site with an editor. A story you publish yourself does not become digital press because it lives on the internet. Neither does a boosted ad, a follower package, or a comment.
The work
- Choose outlets whose readers already include the people who should find you: listeners and music editors, or fashion and culture editors.
- Pitch the format they actually use. A premiere desk is not a profile column.
- Give them a clean link, images that load, and a short bio that matches the pitch.
- Keep a record of the URL if something runs, and of the pass if it does not.
- Refuse tactics that fake an audience. Inflated numbers are not coverage.
The same campaign can include print-style features and online desks. Media outreach is the pitching itself. Digital press is the slice aimed at online publications. Musicians comparing this with a review should read music reviews.
What this does not include
We do not sell streams, views, or followers, and we do not describe those numbers as press. We do not guarantee a domain, a dofollow link, or a homepage slot.
